I’m sure you’d agree that one of the most frustrating parts of running a business is dealing with people.
Self interests, egos, schedules, the difference in opinions… can all be obstacles to both agreement and achievement.
Although “managing people” sounds a bit cold, there are ways to relate to them that can make your life (and theirs) a lot more pleasant.

Regarding The Use of Technology
I don’t text. It’s far too short of a leash.
“Texters” know you got their message and expect an instant response.
It’s one of the worst distracters I know of.
I do not answer my cell phone ever.
Nor do I return phone calls right away.
Either they are training you or you are training them; I recommend the later.
Currently, I have 3,209 emails in my inbox.
Who says you have to answer your front door when someone knocks?
One of the best ways to manage people is to manage who, how, and when you respond.
